About me

• My name is Viswa.

• I am passionate about data, its design/architecture/, and implementation of various applications related to both OLTP, and OLAP.

• I am in the data domain for most of my career, doing design/modeling/development in the back end mainly using Oracle and its products.

• I am not an expert in front end design/development.

• Even though I understand many Object oriented features, I am not an expert in middle layer development such as Java.

• I use SQL, PL/SQL for most of my DB functionality as well as Application functionality.

• I develop REST services using Oracle product ORDS

• I work closely with managers, project managers, business analysts, other data architects, database administrators, web administrators, developers, quality testers to make sure we can deliver the business functionality with the best possible options. I am flexible to go with various options from the DB design, however I do not compromise the data architecture principles.

• I strongly believe we should work together to provide the best service to the client.

• I do not like to use complicate phrases or buzz words for hype. I do not see value in them.

• I see change for betterment is great, but I do not appreciate change for the sake of change.

• I do see value in project management tools such as Confluence, Jira. I do see value in breaking a story/task into smaller subtasks as long as they are in logical units.
